Gyanvapi mosque: Survey concludes; report to be submitted on May 17

Varanasi: The third and the last round of the videographic survey at the Gyanvapi mosque premises here was concluded on Monday. 

The survey was carried out by court-appointed commissioners, accompanied by lawyers of both sides and police personnel.

The survey committee has to submit the report to the court on May 17. 

Earlier, the Mosque Management Committee had objected to advocate commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra appointed by the court for the survey.

However, district civil judge (senior division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar had turned down the plea by the mosque committee to replace Mishra.
