Gujarat: Several killed after truck falls on labourers in Banaskantha

Banaskantha: Three women and a toddler died after a truck carrying sand overturned and fell them in Gujarat's Banaskantha district, police said on Sunday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the mishap occurred at Khengarpura village in the district on Saturday evening. 

The accident occurred when a road construction work was underway.

The dumper truck tried to make its way through a narrow passage but lost control and turned turtle before falling on a group of labourers working on the road construction work.

Bodies Pulled Out With Cranes
The authorities took nearly two hours to pull out the women and the toddler trapped under the vehicle with the help of cranes. 

They were rushed to a nearby hospital where the were declared dead, the police said.

Identification of The Deceased 
The deceased have been identified as Renukaben Ganawa, 24; Sonalben Ninama, 22; Ilaben Bhabhor, 40; and two-year-old Rudra. (With Agency Inputs)
