Jammu: A major infiltration bid was foiled when a group of terrorists feared killed in a landmine explosion across the Line of Control in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources here on Friday said that a landmine explosion took place on the Line of Control in the Battal area of Krishna Ghati Sector in Mendhar on the intervening night of February 4-5.

"As per reports, terrorists trying to infiltrate feared dead in an explosion took place when one of them inadvertently stepped on it," they said.
They added that the exact number of terrorists killed in the blast could not be known.
