Govt. to issue Rs.100 coin on the birth centenary of freedom fighter Jawaharlal Darda

New Delhi: The Government of India will issue a commemorative coin of Rs.100 to mark the birth centenary of Jawaharlal Darda, founder of Lokmat Newspaper group. In this regard Finance Ministry has already issued a gazette notification on Wednesday.
The weight of Rs 100 coin will be 35 grams with 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel and 5 percent zinc The circumference of the coin will be 44 mm.

The coin is being manufactured at the Government of India Mint in Mumbai.
This coin is likely to be released on 2nd July 2023, the birth anniversary day of Jawaharlal Darda.
