Government announces 1-day State Mourning over British Queen's demise

New Delhi: The Centre has declared one-day State Mourning on Sunday over the demise of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.
The Queen passed away on Thursday at the Balmoral palace, her Scottish estate in Scotland.

"As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the government has decided that there will be one day State Mourning on 11 September, throughout India," Ministry of Home Affairs statement said.
On the day of Mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half mast throughout India and there will be no official entertainment on the day, it stated. (UNI)
