Raebareli: A goods train derailed this morning in the National Thermal Power Corporation Plant (NTPC) campus in Unchahar, Raebareli. Soon after the news, the railways officials rushed to the spot, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Loss Of Rs 2.50 Lakh

According to officials, the railways has suffered a loss of about two and a half lakh rupees due to the incident.

A 58-bogie goods train carrying coal from Dhanbad, Jharkhand reached the NTPC campus on Monday morning. After the coal was uploaded, when the train started moving back on Wednesday morning from the campus, the wheels of one of the bogies came off and damaged the track causing derailmenmt.

Chaos All Around

There was chaos all around more so because it badly affected the movement of other trains carrying coal in the premises.

As soon as the railways department got this information, the officials rushed to the spot and started investigating.

NTPC official Aagya Sharan said that while the goods train was backing, the wheel of a bogie got derailed, which was later repaired.

No loss of life is yet reported.
