Kannauj: Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday filed his Lok Sabha nomination from the Kannauj constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh's nomination comes a day after the Party replaced Tej Pratap Yadav as its candidate from the Kannauj seat.
Akhilesh Yadav had won the Kannauj seat first in 2000 and later represented it in 2004 and 2009.

Kannauj is going to the polls on May 13 (Phase-4) with today being the last day for filing nominations.
Exuding confidence in securing a victory and defeating the NDA, Akhilesh said, “The question here is of historic victory from the seat. The BJP will become history in this election as people have made up their mind for INDIA bloc. People are going to vote against the NDA.” (with Agency inputs)
