The Home Minister's statement comes days after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Ravinder Raina reportedly said that Satya Pal Malik is "their man" and that they did not want Vohra to continue in the Governor's post.

"The Governor who has come now is our man... We did not want Vohra to continue," Raina can be heard saying in a video that surfaced on social media.

Vohra served as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir since June 25, 2008, completing two terms. Malik was sworn-in as the new Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on August 23.

Jammu and Kashmir is currently under Governor's rule after the BJP and the Peoples Democratic Party split their ways and the state government fell in June. (ANI)
