New Delhi: Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, who recently returned from a visit to Bangladesh, will brief a parliamentary panel this afternoon on the latest situation in the neighbouring country. 

The briefing will focus on key political and security developments in Bangladesh, providing crucial insights into the current state of affairs.

Misri had travelled to Bangladesh in response to the escalating events in the country.

The meeting, which is to be chaired by Shashi Tharoor, will cover a wide range of issues, with the main agenda being "India-Bangladesh Relations."

The discussion is expected to delve into the ongoing developments and how they impact regional stability and bilateral ties between the two nations.

Misri, during his Bangladesh bisit, had raised the minority Hindu issues with his counterpart and said, “I underlined today India's desire to work closely with the Interim Government of Bangladesh authorities. At the same time, we also had the opportunity to discuss certain recent developments and issues, and I conveyed our concerns, including those related to the safety and welfare of minorities. We also discussed some regrettable incidents of attacks on cultural, religious, and diplomatic properties,” MEA said.
