Fire erupts at Mini Secretariat building in Chandigarh

Chandigar: A fire erupted at the Mini Secretariat building in Chandigarh on Sunday, the fire department said.

Fire department officials
The fire was immediately brought under control, the Fire department officials said.

"It was Sunday, so there was no one inside the two rooms on the third floor when the fire broke out. The guards saw the blaze and alerted the fire department," officials added. 
Immediately, five fire tenders were rushed to douse the flame. They fire department reached the spot immediately as the fire station is located just across the road.

Records gutted in fire
According to fire department, some files kept in the two rooms of the third floor were damaged in the fire. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. (With Agency Inputs)
