Chandigarh: The BJP on Tuesday made history by winning the Haryana Assembly Elections for the third consecutive term, winning 48 of 90 seats.
In the 90-member assembly, the majority mark is 46.
Cong wins 36 seats
Meanwhile, the opposition Congress won 36 seats. Independents were leading on 3 seats while the INLD was ahaed on 3 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party drew a blank in the state, which is the home state of Arvind Kejriwal.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini won the Ladwa constituency, while EX-state CM and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda emerged victorius from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi by a huge margin of 71,465 votes.
Olympian Vinesh Phogat, who was fighting on Congress ticket, has defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Yogesh Kumar to win Julana assembly seat.

Independent candidate Savitri Jindal has secured a significant victory from the Hisar Assembly constituency, winning by a margin of 18,941 votes.
The counting of votes polled for the 90-member assembly seats began at 8 am on Tuesday. The election in Haryana was held on October 4.
Senior BJP leader Anil Vij also secured victory from Amballa Cannt while former Deputy CM JJP’s Dushyant Chautala lost Uchana Kalan constituency seat to Devender Chatar Bhuj Attari of BJP.
The exit polls had predicted Congress victory.
