Delhi Excise Policy Case: CBI raids at residence of Dy CM Manish Sisodia, other locations in 7 states/UTs

New Delhi: The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) on Friday carried out searches at the residences of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna, former Excise Commissioner, besides at 19 other locations, in all 21 places, in seven states and UTs after registering an FIR in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

Total 4 public servants are under the net of CBI in this case.

Last month, Delhi LG VK Saxena had recommended a CBI probe into the Kejriwal government's Excise Policy, 2021-22 over alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses.
Excise policy case: 21 locations being raided by CBI also include the premises of the then Delhi Excise Commissioner and 2012 batch AGMUT IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna. Total 4 public servants under the net of CBI in 7 states/UT

The CBI inquiry was recommended on the findings of the Delhi Chief Secretary's report filed in July showing prima facie violations of the GNCTD Act 1991, Transaction of Business Rules (ToBR)-1993, Delhi Excise Act-2009 and Delhi Excise Rules-2010, they said. (with Agency inputs )
