Lucknow: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of former BSP MLA Vinay Shankar Tiwari and at various places Uttar Pradesh simultaneously including Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Noida, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

Vinay Shankar Tiwari is accused in cases related to bank fraud worth crores of rupees.

ED has raided the places of Vinay Shankar Tiwari for the second time in 14 months.

According to officials, this action has been taken specifically against Tulsiani Group, in which the company is accused of embezzling about Rs 30 crore from Punjab National Bank and other investors.

The ED has also recovered Rs 4 lakh in cash and many important documents related to banks while raiding 10 locations of the Tulsiani Group. The basis of this action is a case registered in December 2023 under the Money Laundering Act. ED's investigation revealed that there are serious financial irregularities against the Tulsiani Group.

In November 2022, the Lucknow Police arrested Tulsiani Group chief Anil Tulsiani. However, in October 2023, he got bail from the High Court.
