New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday discrubed third tranche of economic stimulus will focus on relief to agriculture, allied industries announced by the government on 12 May. These are some news points to know:

1. During lockdown period Minimum Support Price purchases of amount more than Rs 74,300 crores; PM Kisan fund transfer of Rs 18700 cr
2. Setting up of Rs 1 lakh cr agriculture infra fund for farm-gate infrastructure like cold chain, yards, etc
3. Rs 10,000-cr scheme for formalisation of micro food enterprises
4. Rs 20,000 cr for aqua culture, infrastructure for fisheries to help raise fish production, exports
5. Rs 13,343-cr fund launched to ensure 100% vaccination of 53 cr cattles for foot-and-mouth disease
6. Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund of Rs 15,000 cr to support investment in dairy processing
7. Rs 4,000 cr for promotion of herbal cultivation to bring 10 lakh hectares of land under herbal growing in next 2 years
8. Rs 500 cr allocated for beekeeping initiatives to benefit 2 lakh beekeepers in rural areas
9. Rs 500-cr additional fund provided to extend Operation Green to all fruits, vegetables; 50% subsidy on transportation, storage
10. Govt to amend Essential Commodities Act; cereals, edible oil, oilseeds, pulses, onions and potato to be deregulated
11. No stock limit to apply to processors or value chain participants following amendment to the Essential Commodities Act
12. Stock limits to be imposed only under very exceptional circumstances like national calamities, famine after amendment of ECA
