ECI declares schedule for Presidential elections; polling on 18 July, counting on 21 July

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced the dates for the Presidential elections to be held next month with President Ram Nath Kovind’s term coming to an end on July 24.

The Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar in a press conference announced the schedule for the upcoming Presidential elections 2022 as follows: 

The last date for nominations is 29 June 2022
The date for scrutiny for nomination has been set as 30 June 2022
The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 2 July 2022
The voting on 18 July 2022
The counting of votes will be on 21 July 2022

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said the Election Commission will issue a notification in this regard on 15 June.
