Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump is set to take oath as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20.
Besides, JD Vance will also take oath as the Vice-President of the United States.
Swearing-in Ceremony
Inauguration day will see a formal swearing-in ceremony as well as musical performances and a number of formal balls.
Owing to freezing temperatures, the swearing-in ceremony will be held indoors, with Trump and Vice-President-elect JD Vance set to take the oath of office in the United States Capitol Rotunda building.

Time and Venue
The much-awaited ceremony will take place at the US Capitol in Washington DC, starting at 12:00 pm local time.
The inauguration day coincided with Martin Luther King Jr Day, a federal holiday, and marks the first time in this century that a head of the state will take the oath on such a holiday.
Inauguration marks transition
The ceremony marks the end of one President's time in office and the beginning of the new President's administration.
The inauguration events will end with a National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral.

Notably, Trump has announced that Capital One Arena would be opened for live viewing of the event, and to host the Presidential Parade. After taking oath as US President for the second time, he likely to meet the crowd at the arena. Trump previously served as the 45th president between 2017 and 2021.
