Yesteryear Actress Sadhna Passes Away at 74

Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana Shivdasani passed away at the age of 74 on Friday. She breathed her last at a hospital in Mumbai. 


Sadhna was one of the biggest stars of Hindi film industry during the 1960s and the early 1970s. She featured in many successful Hindi films such as Parakh, Asli-Naqli, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Mere Mehboob,  Mera Saaya, Intaquam, Ek Phool Do Mali, and Geeta Mera Naam to name a few. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by IIFA in 2002.


The style icon Sadhana made the 'fringe cut' a rage during her time, which even today is popularly known as the 'Sadhana cut'. Sadhna had retired from public life long back. The actress only kept in touch with her old pals like Asha Parekh, Helen and Waheeda Rahman. She was married to Love in Shimla director Ramkrishna Nayyar who passed away in 1995. Sadhna didn’t have any children.
