Year End Reshuffle of Central Bureaucracy

New Delhi/ 29Dec. The Union government on late Monday and early Tuesday issued orders for appointment of secretary and joint secretary level officers. Dynamite News brings to you all details.

Secretary Level Reshuffle
Neeraj Kumar Gupta, IAS (UP: 1982) has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance. He was earlier Special Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Gupta will replace Aradhna Johri, IAS (UP: 1980)

While, Aradhna Johri, IAS (UP: 1980) has been appointed as Chairperson, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention. She was Secretary, Disinvestment. 

Sanjay Mitra, IAS (WB: 1982) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. He was posted in his Cadre. He will replace Vijay Chhibber, IAS (MN: 1978) on his superannuation on 31 December, 2015.

Rashmi Verma, IAS (BH: 1982) has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Textile replacing Sanjay Kumar Panda, IAS (TR: 1980) on his superannuation on 31 December, 2015. She was earlier Special Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. 

Special Secretary (with effect from 26 December 2015)
Susheel Kumar, IAS (UP: 1982) has been appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Snehlata Shrivastava, IAS (MP: 1982) appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.

Amrendra Kumar Dubey, IAS (KL: 1982) appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Coal.
 

Additional Charges
Sanjay Kumar Srivastav, IAS(UT : 1980), Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat will continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat till the appointment of a regular incumbent or till further orders, whichever is earlier. 

Amitabh Kant, IAS (KL : 1980), Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry will hold additional charge of the post of CEO, NITI Aayog consequent on completion of tenure of Sindhushree Khullar, IAS (Retd.) (UT: 1975) on 31.12.2015, till the appointment of a regular incumbent or till further orders, whichever is earlier.

Joint Secretary Level Reshuffle
Vinay Mohan Kwatra, IFS (1988) empaneled to hold the posts of Joint Secretary/equivalent at the center. He has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office for the balance period of his three year central deputation tenure, i.e. upto 13.10.2018 from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until firther orders, whichever is earlier.
