World's longest, highest glass bridge to open in China

Beijing/ 17 August 2016. China this week opens world's longest and highest glass bridge built in its Hunan Province for visitors.
The bridge has set ten world records for its design and construction.
The 430-meter long, six-meter wide bridge, paved with 99 panes of three-layer transparent glasses, hangs between two steep cliffs 300 meters above the ground.
According to Xinhua news agency report, maximum 8,000 visitors are allowed to cross the bridge every day. A reservation must be made one day prior to visiting.
The construction of the bridge was completed in December.
The unique pillar-like mountain formation in Zhangjiajie appeared in the Hollywood blockbuster movie 'Avatar'.
