UPSC results 2016: Rajasthan with 28 IAS officers tops all states

New Delhi/ 8 June 2016.  This year Rajasthan has produced the maximum number of Civil Service Officers in the country. In all, 28 officers come from this state.

Thus Rajasthan has topped the list of the states even leaving behind the usual toppers Uttar Pradesh and Bihar that came second and third respectively. 

Exam coaching hub
Though Rajasthan is known as a coaching hub for engineering and medical students, this year’s IAS results show that the state is equally equipped with civil services exam coaching also. 

UPSC announced the Civil Services Examination results on 10 May and total 978 candidates were declared successful.
