Tennis ball size diamond to fetch USD 70 million

The auction of the diamond ‘Lesedi la Rona’ which means "our light", found at the Karowe mine last year, is expected to get about whopping $70 million in an auction  in London to be held in June, according to Sotheby.

 

Diamond size 
The 400 carat diamond is the size of a tennis ball.

 

 

 The Constellation
Under Lucara Diamond Corporation’s mining operation in Botswana ‘Lesedi la Rona’ was found in the same mine where another expensive diamond ‘The Constellation’ was unearthed.

 

The 813 carat rough stone ‘The Constellation’ was auctioned for $63.1 million by a Dubai-based firm.
