Sushmita Sen rejoices 22 years of her Miss Universe crowning

Mumbai/ 21 May 2016. On this day 22 years ago in the year 1994, Sushmita Sen wrote history when she became the first Indian woman to win the Miss Universe title held in Manila, Philippines. At that time Sushmita was 19.

Now the 40 year old model-turned-actor on Saturday reminisced and celebrated 22 years of her Miss Universe crowing. 

Crown for ever 
"'You'll wear the crown for a year, but INDIA will own the title 1994 forever... Celebrate that always'," she wrote quoting Martin Brooks, President of Miss Universe Organisation in 1994.
