Despite all the crimes, violence and cruelty in the world, there is still humanity in each of us. While we may not see it often enough, leading us to believe that there is no longer any humanity in the world, if we watch carefully, we will see that people still do take care of fellow human beings, not just family members but complete strangers as well.

Here are a few examples:

1) Sometime around midnight, on a deserted city road, a middle aged man is changing the punctured tyre of his car. His wife, is standing nearby. Another car passes by and stops a few feet ahead. 2 young men step out, come towards the couple and ask if there is any problem or would they need any help. After ensuring that everything is fine, they go back.

2) On a busy city street, an auto rickshaw is picking up passengers. The 3 seats at the back are filled up. A young girl, in her twenties, approaches the auto and automatically proceeds to sit on the front, beside the driver. Just then, a young man who was sitting on the back seat offers to give his seat to the girl and goes and sits on the front seat.

3) A lady, in her fifties, on a visit to one of her cousin, while climbing the stairs of the building, falls down and hurts both her knees. Unable to get up, the security guard sees her and rushes to pick her up and helps her sit on a chair. One of the residents of the building, on his way up, sees everything and rushes up to his apartment, comes back with some ice cubes, Volini spray and some drinking water for the lady.

All the above scenarios, which actually happened, reinstate our hope that humanity is not going away from this world. Recently, there was a video clip that went viral on social media, showing a man hit by a truck and his body cut in half, lying on the road for a long time and no one coming forward to help him out. And yet, before he died, he donated his body parts. He, as well as the people in the scenes above, give us hope that humanity is not going to vanish from the world anytime soon. They all restore our faith in humanity.

We should never forget that when a person is helped today, that person will definitely help someone tomorrow in return and soon the world will become a better place; for you, for me and for everyone. Someone has very rightly said, “If you cannot find faith in humanity, be the faith in humanity.”
