President Emphasizes Objective of Timely Justice

Allahabad/ 13 March 2016. President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Sesquicentennial Celebrations of the Allahabad High Court on Sunday.

Chief Justice of India TS Thakur, Union Law Minister Sadanand Gowda, UP Governor Ram Naik, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court DY Chandrachud, among others were present on this occasion. 

Addressing the gathering President Mukherjee said that Allahabad High Court will complete 150 years of its existence on 17, March 2016.  

He said that increasing the number of courts and judges and judicial officers at all levels is the first step towards achieving the objective of timely delivery of justice.

  
President said that it is imperative that we speed up adoption of information and communication technology in the judicial system. The process of computerisation of district and subordinate courts is underway through the e- Courts Integrated Mission Mode project of the Central Government.
