Jayalalithaa suspends two senior IAS for irregularities

Chennai/ 31 August 2016. Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has suspended two senior IAS officers in Tamil Nadu. 

Former Chief Secretary K Gnanadesikan was suspended on charges of alleged irregularities.

Another IAS officer Atul Anand was also suspended by CM. He was Commissioner, Geology and Mining, and MD, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT). He was suspended for alleged violations and flaws in clearances given by the Geology and Mining Department to a leading mining baron in southern Tamil Nadu.

Sources told Dynamite News that CM was unhappy with the working style of both the officers.
