Isuzu rolls out its first Made in India car

The Japanese auto maker Isuzu Motors, on Wednesday, rolled out its first Made in India car—the D-Max V-Cross.


The new vehicle will be manufactured at the company’s new plant at Sricity, Andhra Pradesh. In the beginning the vehicle will have 70 per cent localisation that will be increased in future. The company said that an investment of Rs.3, 000 crore has been earmarked for the project. 


The plant is spread over an area of 107 acres and has a production capacity of 50,000 units per annum that can be scaled up to 120,000 units.


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the facility and rolled out the first Made in India car.
