IPS Anil Dhasmana to be new RAW chief, Rajiv Jain to head IB

New Delhi/ 17 December 2016. The Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat and Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer Anil Kumar Dhasmana will be the new chief of country's foreign intelligence department - the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
The appointment order issued by the government also brings curtain down on immense speculation over possible extension for the incumbent R&AW chief Rajinder Khanna.
Official sources said here that the Rajiv Jain of Jharkhand cadre was today appointed as the new Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief replacing Dineshwar Sharma.
Jain, a 1980 batch IPS officer was currently posted as Special Director of the IB. (UNI)
