DN Exclusive: Why Govt is unable to appoint VCs in many Central Universities?

There are 56 Central Universities as on 14 Nov 2023 in our country. But a number of CUs are without regular VCs. A must read on Dynamite News:

New Delhi: The Vice-Chancellor (VC) is the main academic and administrative leader of a University. He is responsible for the University's academic programs, policies, and budgets. 

The VC also also oversee the university's general administration and ensure it runs smoothly.

But it appears that the Central Govt is oblivious of the above facts. That is why many Central Universities (CU) are running without the appointment of a regular Vice-Chancellors.

There are 56 Central Universities as on 14 Nov 2023 in our country. Central Universities are also known as Union Universities. But a number of CUs are without regular VCs. Notably among them are:

In the best interest of higher education, let's hope and pray that the Central Government fills all the vacancies of regular VCs in the Central Universities sooner than later.
