Dr. Kheya Bhattacharya appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Morocco

New Delhi/ 22 September 2016. Dr. Kheya Bhattacharya (IFS: 1985) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Dr Kheya Bhattacharya joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1985.  She has served in Brussels, Dhaka, Paris, Kathmandu and Geneva. She has also served in Ministry of External Affairs.

Dr Kheya Bhattacharya obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, after completing her B.Sc Hons from Delhi University and Masters from Columbia University, New York (USA). Dr Bhattacharya has also attended the Foreign Service Programme at Oxford University, UK obtaining with distinction the diploma in Diplomatic Studies.
