brings to you crisp, syrupy, juicy and crunchy Jalebi recipe.  It is a traditional dish that is an important part of many festivals and celebrations. In winters hot jalebis are everyone’s favorite.


Ingredients


Flour- 2 cups (400gm)
Gram flour – 2 table spoon (30gm)
Curd – 1 cup or citric acid -1 tablespoon
Baking soda- ½ tablespoon
Ghee- ¼ tablespoon
Kesar - a pint
Cardamom/Elaichi powder- a pint

 

Method


Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with lukewarm water and mash it till it become a smooth paste. Put the paste in any bottle that can be easily squeezed. Heat the ghee in a frying pan and now squeeze the bottle to make concentric rings. Fry the rings till they get brown. Now put the fried Jalebi in the sugar syrup for few minutes. Serve Jalebi with warm milk.


Method to make sugar syrup


Take 3 cup sugar in a pan and add 1 cup water. Keep this pan on stove top on low flame and begin to stir to dissolve the sugar completely. Cook till you get one string consistency in the sugar syrup.
