Bharatiya Janata Party led NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed two years in the office.

What do the common people think about these two years? Dynamite News brings you the real picture from ground zero.

Our team conducted a survey in the national capital. We visited one of the biggest shopping centres of Asia-- Karol Bagh and talked to an assortment of people. Here are some views:

Ashok Kumar, a shopkeeper said: “The policies that Modiji brought are promising but I haven’t seen any changes till now.” He said that governments have come and gone but none has made any reasonable impact on their life.

Vishal Singh, a rickshaw puller who hails from Bihar said: “The Modi government is very good. The farmers all over the country and in my village are getting huge relief from the government. Like they get seeds and fertilizers in time.”

Sunil, a garment hawker said that this government has done nothing to create jobs. He added, “Modiji promised lakhs of job opportunities for the youth, but nothing has been done so far. Except for promotion of Make in India and his ever increasing foreign trips, every other thing remains the same.”

Arun Kumar, an auto driver who comes from Allahabad said, “We are still suffering for what Congress government did for 60 years. But I hope BJP government will do something good for us.”

Md Samsheer, a lassi seller when asked about mehengai said, “Things are out of control. Prices of everything are rising day by day. Like the commodities I need for my business have become so costly that profit margin has so much decreased that it has become difficult to manage home.”

Rakesh Singh, a mobile mechanic over mehengai however said that he is happy with the government for its effort to control the prices. He said, “Although price hike is still there, it is not as much as it was during the congress rule.”

So as we can see, it is a mixed reaction by people. While some of them were all praise for two years of Modi government, others were quite critical. However we at Dynamite News feel that it’s not appropriate to judge a government on just two years of performance.
