Ashok Chawla nominated as Chairman, National Stock Exchange

New Delhi/ 30 April 2016. National Stock Exchange (NSE) is now going in the experienced hands of Ashok Chawla. 

National Stock Exchange has nominated Chawla’s name for the top job as Chairman. Chawla will succeed S B Mathur whose term has come to an end.

Chawla is an IAS officer of 1973 batch of Gujarat cadre. He worked as Secretary in the Ministries of Finance and Civil Aviation, Government of India. He also worked as a Chairman of the Competition Commission of India.

Chawla has administrative experience of more than 43 years in various capacities in the Government of India and Gujarat Government.
