Dimple Yadav takes swipe at BJP's slogan, says it shows their 'mindset'

Mainpuri: Samajwadi Party Lok Sabha MP Dimple Yadav on Monday took swipe at BJP's slogan, saying those who would talk about 'Sabka Sath Sabha Vikas', now giving 'divisive slogans'.  

Dimple Yadav was in Karhal to campaign for Samajwadi Party's candidate Tej Pratap Singh Yadav. 

Talking to reporters, she said: "Earlier, the BJP used to give the slogan of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas', but now they coined a divisive slogan (referening to BJP's batenge toh katenge' remark). This shows their intentions and mindset."

Dimple Yadav on new poll date

Reacting to the new date of by-polls,  she said the date of the UP by-poll has been 'changed under some strategy'. 

"Initially, we expected state leaders to campaign in Maharashtra after the state by-polls. I think due to the Maharashtra polls, they've changed the poll date."

Earlier in the day, Election Commission of India (ECI) rescheduled bypolls to 14 Assembly seats in three state, including Uttar Pradesh. 

She further added that the Samajwadi Party is uniting people under the banner of PDA.

By-elections for nine assembly seats, including Karhal, in Uttar Pradesh will be held on November 20. The outcome of the polls will be announced on November 23.
