Delhi's air quality drops to 'very poor' category

New Delhi: Delhi's air quality plummeted to the ‘very poor’ category as the Air Quality index (AQI) was recorded at 339 at 8 am on Sunday,  according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. 


Unfavourable weather conditions have made the air quality worsen in the national capital.

AQI in Delhi 
The air quality across the national capital worsened as many places witnessed high AQI levels,, with Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 418, followed by Vivek Vihar (AQI 407), Wazirpur (AQI 401), Ashok Vihar (AQI 384). 

Minimum Temperature at 11.8 degrees Celsius
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department has forecast moderate to dense fog throughout the day today.

The AQI between 301 and 400 is considered very poor and 401 and 500 severe.  (With Agency Inputs)
