Delhi registered 1,568 cases of COVID-19 and 156 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Tuesday.
New Delhi: Delhi registered 1,568 cases of COVID-19 and 156 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Tuesday.
The positivity rate in the National Capital is 2.14 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.66 per cent.
Delhi reports 1,568 new COVID19 cases, 4,251 recoveries and 156 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With the fresh infections, the active cases have reached 21,739 but a total of 4,251 patients also recovered in the past day. The fresh cases came from a total of 73,406 tests, comprising 47,494 RT PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat and 25,912 rapid antigen tests, conducted in the last 24 hours.
The total cases in Delhi have reached 14,19,986 while the death toll now stands at 23,565.
As per the official data, 17,163 COVID beds are available in hospitals, 6,071 in dedicated COVID Care Centre, and 526 in dedicated COVID Health Care Centres.

The health bulletin said 54,475 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the past day, which included 40,122 first dose recipients and 14,352 who were administered with second dose. The Delhi government started vaccinating the population between 18-45 years from May 1 but due to the shortage of vaccine the process was halted on May 22.
Delhi is under a lockdown since April 19 with only emergency and essential services open.(UNI)
