Delhi: Police registers FIR in Rajouri Garden fire case

Delhi: A day after fire engulfed a restaurant in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area, Delhi Police on Tuesday said they registered an FIR against an unknown person in the restaurant fire case. 

The fire broke out at the restaurant situated close to the Rajouri Garden Metro Station on Monday, forcing people to jump off the roof of the building to save themselves.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West)
"An FIR under relevant provisions of law has been registered, based on the prima facie circumstances," Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vichitra Veer said.

Police checks CCTVs 
The police has launched the investigation into the matter and checking the CCTVs.

No loss of lives reported in the fire. One woman sustained injury while leaving the building. 

Delhi CM visits Rajouri Garden 
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi visited the site and held talks with shopkeepers. She also instructed the Fire Department to conduct safety audit across the city. (With agency Inputs)
