Delhi Police detains student for issuing bomb threats to schools

New Delhi: A child was detained by the Delhi Police on Tuesday for allegedly sending multiple bomb threats to over 400 schools in the national capital, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, police investigation revealed that the child's father has links with an NGO which had opposed the hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru.

NGO under scanner 

Now, the Delhi Police are investigating the role of the NGO.

The first hoax call was received on February 12, 2024. Subsequently, more than 120 schools received such emails in May. Further investigations are underway.
