Delhi Police arrested 4 robbers in ₹30 lakh heist, recover ₹16.94 lakh

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have arrested four individuals involved in the robbery of a businessman in Pitampura, recovering ₹16.94 lakh in cash along with the motorcycle used in the crime, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The incident took place on March 25, 2025, when businessman Krishan Gupta and his servant were attacked by a group of robbers while returning home from the office. The assailants, armed with sticks, assaulted them before fleeing with ₹30 lakh in cash.

Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation, analyzing CCTV footage and gathering intelligence. A joint team was formed, which conducted multiple raids at suspected locations, ultimately leading to the arrest of four suspects: Sanchit, Shival, Rustam, and Anil.

During questioning, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. The police seized ₹16.94 lakh from them along with the motorcycle used in the robbery.

Notably, one of the accused, Anil, is a habitual offender with multiple cases registered against him, including those under the Arms Act, dowry-related offences, Excise Act, and fraud.

The police are continuing their investigation to trace the remaining ₹13.06 lakh and identify any other individuals linked to the crime.
