Delhi: Man stabbed to death in Karol Bagh

New Delhi: A man was stabbed to death in central Delhi's Karol Bagh area while trying to thwart a phone snatching attempt, police said. 

The deceased has been identified as Mukesh, who lived in a rented accomodation in West Delhi's Mohan Garden area.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident happened when Mukesh was heading home after dinner with a friend. As they reached Satbhravaan Arya Girls Senior Secondary School, three individuals attempted to snatch his friend's mobile phone. Mukesh intervened, leading to a scuffle. One of the assailants pulled out a knife, stabbed Mukesh, and fled with the phone.

Taken to Hospital

He was rushed to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

FIR lodged 

The incident occured on Wednesday night. The police has lodged the FIR on the basis of his friend's statement.
