New Delhi: High Court directs the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) & Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to submit Status Reports on why FIR was not filed against Drone Federation India (DFI) for Forging DGCA Document with the signature of the Director General, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday observed in the plea against the forgery of DGCA No Objection Certificate committed by DFI why no action has been taken till date. The Court specifically observed why DGCA has not filed a complaint to register an FIR against the clear forgery committed by DFI and issued notice in a public interest litigation (PIL) filed against the Drone Federation India (WP (C) No. 1730/2025).
The bench led by Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay also comprising Justice Tushar Rao Gedela orally remarked that the DGCA should have filed a complaint and registered an FIR regarding the forgery.

The court also directed the DGCA, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and other authorities to submit separate reports on the status of the investigation against the forgery committed by DFI within 3 weeks.
The bench also orally observed how a private entity could protect itself by presenting itself as a government organization by occupying a government office space within the Raji Gandhi Bhawan
The plea further alleged that DFI has in collusion with Pioneer Flying Academy issued drone pilot certifications to two individuals, without securing any approval or authorization from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation or Ministry of Civil Aviation.

According to the petitioner, the body, by forging a letter from the regulatory authority, is not only attempting to project patronage from the Government of India but has also evaded accountability for its actions as described above.
The Court observed that the Drone Federation India was posing as a Government-affiliated body and had committed a clear forgery which was confirmed by the DGCA and yet no action has been taken either by MCA or DGCA.
