Delhi Govt extends Electric Vehicle policy till March 31, 2025

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Thursday announced the extention of the Electric Vehicle (EV) policy till March 31, 2025. 

Addressing a press conference, Atishi said: "In view of poor air quality, the Delhi cabinet has decided to extend the EV policy and roll out subsidies and road tax exemptions which was pending from January 1."

The people who bought electric vehicles on Jan 1, 2024, and after will get a subsidy and road tax exemption, she added. 


The Chief Minister also said that the registration of electric vehicles in Delhi has increased from 4 per cent in 2019-20 to 12 per cent now, which is the highest in the country. (With Agency Inputs)
