New Delhi: A teenager girl allegedly died by suicide in south Delhi's Jamia Nagar area after she could not crack the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

She was reportedly preparing for the engineering entrance exam after completing Class 12.

She allegedly jumped off the seventh floor of a building. The 17-year-old reportedly left alleged suicide note asking her parents to forgive her for not cracking the exam. 

"Yesterday, at 11:25 am, a PCR call regarding a girl aged 17, jumping off the roof of the 7th floor of a building in Okhla main market was received at PS Jamia Nagar. She was preparing for JEE after clearing the 12th class," police said in a statement.
