New Delhi: Ex-Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday proposed a scheme to provide homes to sanitation workers in the national capital.
Writes letter to PM
Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal said that he written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting the Centre to provide land to the Delhi government for the construction of homes for sanitation workers.

Land comes under Central Govt
"The land is Delhi comes under the jurisdiction of the central government. If the central government provides land at highly subsidised rates, then the Delhi government will get houses constructed on them and government employees will pay in easy instalments and become house owners,” he told reporters.
‘Begin this scheme from sanitation workers’
“I have requested that we begin this scheme from the sanitation workers of NDMC and Nagar Nigam, under which the central government will provide land and the Delhi government will construct the house, he said.
