New Delhi: The Delhi Assembly was adjourned on Monday amid protest of Aam Aadmi Party members against Delhi Lieutenant Governor.

Three-day session of Delhi Assembly began on Monday amid uproar between ruling Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs.

Opposition MLAs wore oxygen masks and carried cylinders inside the House to protest against air pollution in the national capital.

Speaker Ram Niwas Goel asked BJP MLAs to keep the oxygen cylinders away from the House. The assembly proceeding, however, adjourned for 10 minutes after an exchange of words between AAP and BJP members over several issues.

AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj, said, “Delhi government has been trying to provide best facilities to the children but the LG does interfere in the elected government’s works and development of the city.”

When Bharadwaj was discussing the education issue, AAP members started raising slogans against LG for creating unwanted obstructions in the education of children and teachers’ training in Finland.
