New Delhi: BJP MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely will be the Pro-tem Speaker of the Delhi Assembly, Rohini MLA Vijender Gupta said on Friday.
Vijender Gupta, who has been nominated as the BJP's candidate for the post of Assembly speaker, told reporters that Arvinder Singh Lovely would be the Pro-tem Speaker of the House.

Arvinder Singh Lovely has become the MLA for the 5th time after wining from Gandhi Nagar assembly seat. Lovely, who left Congress and joined BJP, was a minister in Sheila Dixit government.
What Pro-tem Speaker Does
Pro-tem Speaker is a temporary Speaker who conducts House proceedings for a limited period and the full-time Speaker is chosen.
Traditionally, senior MLA is chosen as Pro-tem speaker.
