Delhi: AAP announces 'Ambedkar Samman Scholarship'

New Delhi: AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced ‘DR Ambedkar Samman' scholarship for Dalit students in Delhi, reports Dynamite News correspondent. 

Under the scheme, the govt will provide help to Dalit students in their higher education.

Addressing a gathering, Kejriwal announced that the Delhi government would fund the Dalit students who have secured admission in foreign varsities if AAP retured to power in Delhi. 

Kejriwal on Amit Shah 
Kejriwal also accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of insulting Dr BR Ambedkar and said he and crores of followers of the Ambedkar were hurt by Shah's statement. 

Delhi Assembly Polls
The announcement has come ahead of the Delhi Assembly Polls. It is pertinent to mention that the election is due early next year.

The term of the current assembly in Delhi will expire on February 23, 2025.
