New Delhi: The Indian Army on Friday issued an advisory asking its personnel to take all protective measures like using face masks, especially in closed and overcrowded spaces, and practising social distancing.

The army also emphasized regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser.

The advisory comes amid the rise of Covid-19 cases worldwide including China, Japan, South Korea and the United States.

The advisory also suggests that all symptomatic individuals will be tested for Covid-19 and those testing positive will be isolated for seven days. Those having moderate to severe disease will be admitted to the hospital. (with ANI inputs)
