New Delhi: Lok Sabha elections 2024 are being considered different in many ways as compared to all the previous elections. This time the elections lasted for the longest period of seven phases.
Out of more than 94 crore registered voters, more than 64 crore people exercised their franchise and created a new record. After 10 years, the era of coalition government has again started in the country.
Another big thing about this election was that the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was in judicial custody, for election campaign till 21. And as soon as the elections were over, Kejriwal surrendered on June 2 and returned to Tihar Jail.

In this election, Samajwadi Party under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav gave its best performance ever in Uttar Pradesh and won 37 out of 62 seats contested.
Incidentally, Samajwadi Party gave tickets to five family members in this election and the public elected all five to the Lok Sabha.
Among these five, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav is also included and so is his wife Dimple Yadav. That is, Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav will be seen together in the Lok Sabha for the first time in their political career.

SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav defeated BJP MP Subrata Rai from Kannauj by more than 1 lakh 70 thousand votes while Dimple Yadav defeated BJP candidate Jaibeer Singh from Mainpuri by more than 2 lakh 20 thousand votes.
