New Delhi: Congress has opened a front against Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over massive corruption and has demanded a CBI inquiry.
The Congress said that there are clinching evidences against Sarma. Congress asked the Centre whether the CBI would be allowed to do the proper investigation against Sarma?
The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has also written a letter to Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, Director, CBI New Delhi in this regard. The State Congress Committee in the letter has raised seven issues against Sarma to be investigated by the CBI.

The seven issues include Vidya International School in Amingaon, a private company named RBS, RBS realtor land scam, purchase of high quality PPE kits etc.
Senior Congress leader and spokesperson Jairam Ramesh also has demanded a CBI inquiry against Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet along with the said letter of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.
