Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury may appear before Privileges Committee on Aug 30 to respond to allegations

New Delhi: The Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha on Friday decided to give an opportunity to  Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, who was suspended from the lower house last week, to respond to allegations against him.  

Earlier, the Privileges panel held a meeting today to discuss misconduct charges against Chowdhury.

According to the sources in Parliament, the next meeting of the privileges committee is expected to be held on August 30. "He may be asked to appear before the committee on August 30," sources said.
